Oats are well known as a healthy breakfast and loved by many. You might not be a fan of its taste but would surely consume it for nutrients. Well, now you need not just gulp down your oats! Here I am with some easy oatmeal recipes which will make your taste buds happy and what’s more? They are overnight oats which need no preparation in the morning and you can reach office in time!
OVERNIGHT FRUIT OATS
You need 1 cup rolled oats, ¼ cup thin sliced apples, ¼ cup pomegranate seeds, ¼ cup orange pulp (transparent cover removed), ½ cup coconut milk and ½ cup maple syrup or honey.
Mix up all the ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Cover with a foil or transparent film and refrigerate overnight. Remove from fridge the next morning and enjoy!
OVERNIGHT PEANUT BUTTER OATS
You need ½ cup unsweetened plain almond milk or coconut milk, 1 teaspoon flax seed, ¾ Tbsp. chia seeds, 2 Tbsp natural salted peanut butter, 1 Tbsp honey and 1/2 cup rolled oats.
To a small bowl, add almond milk/coconut milk, flax seeds, chia seeds, honey, and peanut butter. Stir the ingredients well but make sure you do not dissolve all the peanut butter. Doing so leaves swirls of peanut butter to enjoy the next day. Add oats and stir properly. Cover with aluminium foil or plastic film and refrigerate overnight. Consume the next morning.
OVERNIGHT FLAXSEED OATS
You need ⅓ cup yogurt, ½ cup rolled oats, ⅔ cup soy milk, 2 tablespoons ground flaxmeal, a pinch of salt and honey or maple syrup for taste.
Combine all the ingredients and stir thoroughly. Put everything in a tight fitting jar and refrigerate overnight (or 5 hours if preparing during the day). Stir again in the morning and consume.
CHOCOLATE OVERNIGHT OATS
You need ½ cups rolled oats, 1/3 cup plain yoghurt, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, 2/3 cup milk of your choice and honey for taste.
Combine together yoghurt, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, honey and milk. Give it a good mix taking care everything is well combined. Now add oats to it and mix properly. Put everything in a bowl and cover with foil or transparent film. Refrigerate overnight and have it the next morning.
BANANA OVERNIGHT OATS
You need ½ cup rolled oats, 2/3 cup milk of your choice, ½ ripe banana ripe and mashed, honey as per taste and 1 teaspoon chia seeds as topping.
Mix up all the ingredients in a bowl it is fine of the banana forms gooey texture. Put everything in a bowl and cover using foil. Refrigerate overnight and enjoy in the morning!
